Primary duties

    • Revise a variety of texts in the financial and/or legal field, within established time frames and in keeping with Versacom’s and your profession’s stringent quality standards
    • Conduct/validate any required terminology and documentary research
    • Maximize each text’s effectiveness in keeping with client objectives
    • Working with the Service Centre, keep close track of current projects and deadlines

    • Ensure effective communications with Versacom clients and contractual partners

Education and skills

    • A university degree (bachelor’s or higher) in translation or a related field
    • Ideally, current membership in the Barreau du Québec (Roll of Order)
    • A minimum of five years’ experience translating French-to-English documents
    • A minimum of five years’ experience revising French-to-English translations
    • Writing and research skills and a demonstrated ability to apply them to revision

You will be guided by a seasoned reviser and work in close collaboration with our Project Management Centre and Terminology Centre.     • Revise and proofread such texts, as needed
    • Conduct any necessary terminology and documentary research, judiciously using research and translation tools (including professional CAT tools)
    • Maximize each text’s effectiveness in keeping with client objectives
    • Collaborate with the Service Centre personnel and other teams to manage your workload and related factors

Education and skills
